AMBOY — The Lee County Farm Service Agency (FSA) in Amboy is reminding farmers the deadline for crop acreage certification and reporting for 2019 spring seeded crops. Please contact the office and make an appointmentto file your acreage report before the July 22, the extended deadline..
Acreage reports are required for program eligibility and mandatory for producers who participate in the FSA programs such as the new Price Loss Coverage Program (PLC) and the Agricultural Risk Coverage Program (ARC),Conservation Reserve Program (CRP), Market Assist or Commodity Loans (MAL), Loan Deficiency Payments (LDP), Farm Storage Facility Loan Program (FSFL), Non-insured Assistance Program (NAP), Livestock Forage Program (LFP), Livestock Indemnity Program (LIP), Market Facilitation Program (MFP), and a few other programs offered by the Farm Service Agency.
The deadline to report spring–seededcrops is July 15, 2019for Corn, Grain Sorghum, Green Peas, Hybrid Seed Corn, Spring Oats, Popcorn, Processing Beans, Pumpkins, Soybeans, Sweet Corn, Perennial Forage and Hay, and all other spring seeded crops.
The acreage reporting deadline for the fall-seeded2020 (crop year) crops is December 16, 2019for Fall Wheat, Fall Barleyand all other Fall-Seeded Small Grains.
Once the final reporting deadline passes, producers will be charged a late filing fee of $46 per farm in order to file a crop report. Acreage reports may be revisedat any time without a late filing charge as long as the revision can be filed before the final reporting date. After that date, a filing fee of $46 per farm will be assessed and require a field visit to confirm the changes.
The Lee County FSA Office has established the following hours for producers to come in and file an acreage report; 9:00 am-4:00 pm, Monday through Friday and is located at 319 South Mason Ave, Amboy, Illinois.
