FRANKLIN GROVE — Franklin Creek Conservation Association, an Illinois registered 501(c)(3) nonprofit and Friends group to Franklin Creek and the Franklin Creek State Natural Area, is hosting the First Annual Grist Mill Grind 10K and Fun Walk at 8 a.m., on Sept. 11. All proceeds from this event will go to the Franklin Creek Conservation Association to help fund park programs, park expansion, and park improvements.
For the past two months, volunteers have been cleaning the trails to prepare for this event. It is open to runners and walkers alike, even on the 10K portion. The course winds you through the gorgeous State Natural Area, where the views are impeccable. This is a challenging course, but one you feel proud to complete.
