Amboy Lady Clippers top AFC

ASHTON — The AFC Lady Raiders varsity team was defeated by Amboy in three sets on Wednesday, Sept. 26. The scores were 15-25, 25-17, 19-25.

For the Lady Raiders varsity, Camdyn Penick had four aces, 18 service points and nine assists, Tristan Munroe had one ace, seven service points and four blocks, Jaynee Prestegaard had eight kills, 12 digs and 10 blocks, Callie Shrimplin had six kills and eight digs and Kendall Sanford had seven assists.

In the sophomore game, AFC was defeated 25-16, 25-19 by Amboy.

For AFC, Maddie Runkel had one ace, four digs, and four kills, Hannah Atkinson had one ace, Brittney Mundell had one ace, two kills and five assists, Sophie Berkeley had two service points, three kills and one block, Desirae Moore and Hope Kaecker each had three digs.

Sophie Berkeley had an aggressive game at the net tonight, Maddie Runkel hustled in the back row and we saw good passing efforts from Maddie Runkel, Hannah Atkinson and Desirae Moore.

In the freshman game, the Lady Raiders won one and lost one.

For AFC, Jessica Milligan had three aces, eight service points and five assists, Kate Bass had three aces, Bailey Berogan had seven service points; Lyla Fike had four kills and one dig, Ellah Dorn had two kills and Anna Williams had one dig.
