FRANKLIN GROVE — Franklin Grove resident Robert Bass was appointed to the Franklin Grove Village Board at the board's December board meeting. Bass was appointed to fill the vacancy that occurred when long-time board member Tony Schaneberg passed away early last fall.
Mike Mudge of Rock River Energy presented several proposals to expand and continue the village electricity aggregation agreements.
Tourism Committee Chairman Scott Spangler addressed the board concerning discussions to place the bridge that sits near the southwest corner of the village beside Gap Road on the bridge foundation that used to support a bridge over the Franklin Creek. Negotiations are also underway to transfer a parcel of property adjacent to Atlasta Park to the village.
