College for Kids

DIXON — Sauk Valley Community College is offering a great variety of fun, educational classes at Sauk’s campus this summer. Geared to grades 3 through 8, classes meet Monday – Thursday for four weeks.

SVCC has partnered with Black Rocket to bring the community four new technology classes this summer:

Make Your First Fortnite® Video Game, June 24-27; Virtual Reality, July 8-11; Make Your First 3D Video Game!, July 15-18, and ROBLOX® Makers, July 22-25. Classes will be held from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. for kids 8-11 years old and 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. for kids 11-14 years old.

Additional Summer Enrichment classes are available throughout the four-week time frame. Kids can attend all day or build their own schedules with a variety of classes like Biology, Chemistry, Chocolate Candy Creations, Cupcake Decorating, and Crafting Your Own PC – Kid Edition.
