FRANKLIN GROVE — Good weather and events designed to be of interest to the whole family resulted in large numbers of visitors turning out for the 38th Franklin Grove Summer Harvest Festival. The weather was mild, sunny, overcast and at times threatened to rain, but overall conditions were ideal for all activities during the three-day event.
Some of the largest crowds in recent years turned out for the Franklin Grove Fundraisers' Fish Fry on Friday night and for the Big Rig Show and parade on Saturday. Bill and Reva Brierton were honored as Festival Honorees this year and are seen riding in a 1956 Ford convertible during the parade.
