ROCKFORD — Mickey Joe Cargill, 66, of Rockford, passed away suddenly on Jan. 19, 2019. He was born on Sept. 13, 1952 to James W. and Barbara (Fitzgerald) Cargill in Pekin, Illinois. He graduated high school in Franklin Grove. He loved riding horses with his family and helping with the family farming. Farm related jobs just seemed to find him. He was also a semi driver.
Hobbies and interests from the past worked into a business. The garage became a place to buy, sell and trade many things from auctions and sales. Joe met many nice people and made new friends who would stop regularly. He was blessed to have lived with neighbors who cared and looked out for each other. Rescue dogs, Little Girl and Jr were great help.
