ASHTON — Naomi Lewallen, 92, of Ashton, passed away on Aug. 8, 2018 at her home. She was born Feb. 6, 1926 in Harned, Ky. to Murrell and Katherine (Tucker) Butler. She was a member of the Order of the Eastern Star. She loved gardening, coloring and traveling. She was a walking GPS for how well she was with directions.
Naomi is survived by five children, Glenda (Allan) Lackland of Franklin Grove, Glen Lewallen of Brantwood, Wis., Gay (Greg Sr.) Smith of Shreveport, La., Gary (Barb) Lewallen of Schaumburg, and Ginger Trejo of Conroe, Texas; two sisters, Mary Thursby of St. John, Ind. and Edith Carpenter of Valparaiso, Ind.; 1 brother, Zelba Butler of Phoenix, Ariz.; as well as 13 grandchildren and 18 great grandchildren.
She is preceded in death by her parents; her spouse, Jesse Lee Lewallen; brother, J.C. Butler; sister, Tish Nelson; and grandchild, Jeremy Lewallen.
Visitation will be held on Sunday, Aug. 12, 2018 from 4-7 p.m. at Beverage-Lyons Family Funeral Home, 601 Richardson Ave, Ashton. Funeral Services to be held the next day, Aug. 13, at 10 a.m. at the funeral home. Burial to follow at Chapel Hill Cemetery in Dixon.
