Tim Hinrichs


 

ASHTON — Tim Hinrichs, 57, passed away Oct. 31, 2017, at Serenity Hospice & Home in Oregon, surrounded by his loving family.

Tim was born in Dixon, Dec. 5, 1959 to Ray and Sophie Hinrichs of Ashton.

Tim was preceded in death by his father on Oct. 5, 1984, his mother on April 17, 2006 and his brother Fred on Oct. 13, 1976.

Tim lived most of his life with his mother and father, then with his sister Judy until recently

When he went to live at Pine Acres in Dixon and then Amboy Terrace - Kreider Services.   His health started declining rapidly in June 2017 so he was moved to the Franklin Grove Living Rehab. On Oct. 26, after his last hospital stay at KSB, he was moved to Serenity Hospice and Home in Oregon.

Tim was a member of St. John’s Lutheran Church in Ashton. Tim loved his Cubs and Bears, he even enjoyed watching golf and tennis on TV. Tim will be fondly remembered with his smile and his gentle soul.

Many will remember the joy and love that Tim brought to whomever he came into contact with.

Tim is survived by his sister Judy (Don) Ross of Ashton, niece Lisa (David) O’Connor of Franklin Grove, nephew Brandon Ross and his children Jadyn, Caydence, Cohen and Kinnley, of Ashton. He is also survived by his brother David Hinrichs (friend Ginger Tarrasch) Springfield, Mo., niece Nicole (Doug) Pascoe and her children Griffin and Gavin, niece Kim (Tim) Moore and her children Addison and Preston; his sister Kathy Walter, Springfield Mo., niece Nichole, nephew Christopher, and her daughter Lilly, nephew Shannon (Sarah) Hinrichs, Rockford and his children Hunter, Hannah, Halley and Hazel.

Memorials to honor Tim’s life may be given to Serenity Hospice & Home, 1658 South IL Rt. 2, Oregon, IL 61061, St. John’s Lutheran Church of Ashton, PO Box 225, Ashton, IL 61006, Kreider Services, 500 Anchor Rd, Dixon, IL 61021 or the Ashton Fire Department, PO box 485, Ashton, IL 61006.

Visitation will be Saturday, Nov. 4 from 9 a.m. until time of funeral at 10:30 a.m. at the St. John’s Lutheran Church, 803 Paddock Ave., Ashton, with Pastor Christine Stienstra officiating. Burial will be conducted at the Ashton Cemetery.

A luncheon will be served at the church following the services.
